It's worth to try updating the compiler before debugging. I thinik WinCairo bots and I are using newer version of MSVC than AppleWin EWS bots. I don't observe such crash with WinCairo. Every PC has audio in/out, so it'd be a matter of hooking Applewin to those jacks. Since WinCairo skip fast/shadow-dom tests, I mannually skipped those tests and ran tests locally. In the Apple II, the CP was (and remains) a valuable resource. All four require external libraries to be present for the build to succeed. Today it's used to bootstrap machines with ADTPro, and actually run games from your iPod with Apple Game Server. There are essentially 4 different flavors: Apple Windows, WinCairo, Qt and GTK. And let us not forget the numerous educational science kits that used it as an I/O port. And we had a v-sync wire where the CP detected part of the videosignal. The Apple used the cassette port like an aux speaker output, and even input for digitizing sound. To build the WinCairo port, you will need to run > update-webkit -wincairo and build-webkit -wincairo -64-bit. Think of it as peer-to-peer short range 10 meter network. I also built a two-way communications wire I strung between my and my buddy's bedroom window and I could program something and send it to him that way. I built a "modem" that connected to the cassette port, it was slow and naturally required some manual setup, but it worked. back in the day when I/O options were limited and expensive, every little bit helped. Some people may believe Cassette Ports are like meh. This should tide me over until Applewin IIgs is ready for primetime. You can download it here: Stand-Alone application. I still use Copy II+ on occasion, but Ciderpress meets most of my needs.Įdit: Well it turns out the online version is available as a standalone version. Without Ciderpress, you would need Applewin and ADTPro. I agree that Applewin, Ciderpress are indispensable for working with disk images, especially Ciderpress. I would rather have an Applewin equivalent so I can save my games, etc. It was perfect for playing games though because you could just go there and boot it up. ![]() AppleWin was originally written by Mike O'Brien in 1994 O'Brien. If you don't want that, you can change the model to Apple II+, which didn't have the 80-column card. Wizardry recognizes it and adapts the menus to it automatically (by adding spaces all over). The whumpee maybe fears vulnerability, fears what will be done to them while they are defenseless. They brush off an injury because they’ve had worse, no matter how bad the current injury is. They don’t mention that they have a broken rib because they can treat it themselves. They don’t speak up when rations are being handed out, even though they haven’t eaten in days. The whumpee doesn’t say a word about being poisoned. The soft “Oh,” of surprise that falls from their lips before they fall to the ground. The hand to the open wound, staring in dull amazement at the crimson on their palms. They know they’re already a burden, so they figure what’s the difference if they’re more overt about being useless right now? Or maybe they don’t trust that their caretaker(s) mean it when they say they care, so whumpee is trying to find the limit of this scary, unfamiliar care and concern. They know that their caretaker(s) would rather not deal with them, but they don’t feel well and really don’t want to be left alone and if that means playing up a cold to force people to interact with them, then so be it. Because it’s the only time they feel like anyone cares about them. Because the resident hardass is nice to them even when they’re a nuisance. Microsoft is looking to have companies build private clouds inside their organization first. This is a good way for elastic computing to live. But when needed, at the once a year time when it's pushed to employers, it can grow to 24 computers for a few days. There's an elastic computing capability that allows the app to live on 2 computers most of the year. For example, opening/closing/switching tabs in Chrome, jumping to the search box etc. Setting up specific settings for every single app you use is a pain, but once it's done it's done. Blame Microsoft for that, but I'm sure there is a workaround and I don't see any movement from Contour on fixing it. UWP apps (mostly things you download from the MS store) use a wrapper process that the software can't detect on a per-app basis. ![]() exe executable file which the Contour software needs to be pointed at. The application detection works fine for most things, but with newer (and stupid) UWP apps you can expect some issues as they don't have a standalone. The software however is very old and I'm concerned by the lack of updates it receives. There's also a collar around the wheel you can grab and rotate - again it moves in quite large steps but you can bind a specific action to each step of this movement which is useful. It would be nice if it was a little more responsive (you have to turn it quite a way to register a movement) but I appreciate that this limitation is more because it would react to things too fast with the default Windows setup and not a design issue with the device itself. Spinning it round to scroll up/down or zoom in/out never gets old. It costs 50% more than the Xpress but the quality is 2-3x as good. The extra number of buttons is great (you can put a small included printed icon under each one to highlight the function, but as each app can have different functions I wouldn't bother), they feel tactile and have a satisfying click and the middle wheel is actual, proper metal (shock horror) and feels heavy and is lovely to rotate with a finger. A VPN creates an encrypted connection to a service's network that can hide your physical location and IP address from your ISP. If your ISP is throttling your connection based on the services you use – clamping down on your Netflix viewing with slower speeds, for example – then hiding the specifics of your data use is one way around that problem. You can try using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to hide your IP address, location and data use from the ISP. If your ISP doesn't want to budge, you do have one more option available. A good negotiating technique is to tell them that you're not satisfied with the service and that you'll move to a different ISP (I have two in my area). You can always upgrade to a plan that doesn’t have a data cap, but it will likely cost you extra. If you have a plan that allows throttling, it's a little trickier, but you're not out of luck.
